THE Twitter account of Rabbitohs star Sam Burgess, who boasts nearly 20,000 followers, appears to have been hacked.
At lunchtime on Thursday, several curious tweets were posted on Burgess's account, starting with:
``I have put some weight on lately feeling a bit fat around the guts, what do use think tweeters,'' the tweet said.
``Also feeling it in my head.''
Seconds later, another message was posted, this time simply stating HACKED.
Earlier in the day, Burgess who has something of a mild addiction to Twitter, had communicated apparently quite normally with several other people, including The Sunday Telegraph's Ros Reines on her @tabloidterror account.
The South Sydney Rabbitohs forward used the microblogging website earlier this week to reveal that he would miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury.
