A Whatcom Community College student appears to have ended up in the middle of a blogging frenzy over someone apparently hacking a New York congressman's Twitter account.
Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner says someone hacked his account Friday night, May 27, to send a lewd photo to another Twitter account. That account apparently belonged to WCC student Gennette Cordova, but it has since been removed. There is no evidence the New York representative knows Cordova. Her account likely was chosen at random. Weiner quickly denied any scandal. He even made jokes on Twitter about the hacked post. Cordova could not be reached Sunday for comment. Her Twitter and Facebook accounts had been deleted, probably because she was flooded by media and bloggers. Some media reported her bylines were being removed from the online editions of Horizon, WCC's newspaper. Officials at Horizon also could not be reached Sund
